Cardiovascular Health for Women Today

MEETING DATE: 23 JANUARY 2008
DOORS OPEN: 11:30AM
PRICE: $20 ( Includes Lunch )
LOCATION: EMBASSY SUITES
TOWN: ROGERS, ARKANSAS

Back by popular demand! Dr. Mary Bourland M.D., a cardiothoracic and vascular surgeon serving Northwest Arkansas for over a year, is returning to speak to the ladies of Women In Networking about cardiovascular risk in women today. Dr. Bourland has been educating and entertaining women throughout the area since the early 90’s. She emphasizes a healthy diet, proper exercise, and takes a direct approach to maintaining good cardiovascular health.

Heart Disease is the leading cause of death in men and women in the United States, and nearly 47% of all cardiac deaths occur before emergency medical care can be provided. Educating yourself on the ways to prevent cardiovascular disease could very well help save your life or the life of a loved one.

With over 21 years of experience in the profession, certificates and accreditations too numerous to name, and a bubbly, high-energy personality, Dr. Bourland’s presentation is not one to be missed.

Holiday Extravaganza 2007

This year was a fabulous event. We were excited to see so many of our ladies attend this annual fund raiser and have such an enjoyable afternoon. Our emcee, Jeff Wood of Gray Matters shared his heart warming story of growing up in a single parent family and the importance of support that comes from people that reach out to others. Our main speaker, Kathy Ferguson brought challenged us to be “Dangerous Women” in our day to day lives and in pouring ourselves into others lives. We, as women, are so special in what we bring into the lives of those around us in more ways than we sometimes take time to realize.

Our auction items were absolutely the best and Suited For Success and Women in Networking were able to raise funds needed to keep our forward momentum in the coming year. We would like to extend a special thanks to our sponsors for donating the following items:
